About Us

I started out making soap as my little boy had recurring dermatitis that was hard to relieve without using potentially harmful steroid creams - he needed some natural remedies. I wanted to find a paying hobby I could do from home without using childcare and wondered if I could combine the two. And Small Batch Soapery was born! I named it such as I plan to only produce small batches of soap so that the quality of each bar is the best.
Presently my son's dermatitis remains under control using my goats milk soap - it does flare up if someone forgets and gives him a bubble bath. This has also led me to find out as much information as I can on the ingredients in our every day products, and resolve to create natural alternatives.

I am now a very busy mother of 6 amazing little (and not so little) people, and continue to experiment with nature's goodness to bring you awesome skin treats and solutions.
