All my soaps are handmade from scratch in small batches using the traditional 'cold process' method. I only use the finest food and cosmetic grade oils, butters, honey, natural clays, botanicals, essential oils and blended fragrances. My soaps are made with good old-fashioned lye, the alkali that transforms the oils and liquid into soap. After curing, there is no lye present in the soap, what we are left with is a luxurious mild creamy bar. No lye - no soap! All the naturally occurring glycerin that is stripped in commercial soap is retained in handmade CP soap - that is why it feels so good.

Most of my products are Vegan, with the exception of those containing goat's milk or silk. This will be clearly stated on the ingredients listing. I do not use any animal fats in my soap. I use some nut oils and butters in my soaps so if you have a sensitivity, please read the full ingredient listing for each product before purchasing. The only guinea pigs my products are tested on are human ones.

The palm oil used in my soap is sourced from a supplier who is a member of the RSPO (Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil): the international organisation that was formed to promote the production of sustainable palm oil. 14% of palm oil used globally is certified by the RSPO and my little business is very proud to be part of that. Many people think that palm oil is the devil - it is not. When it is responsibly and ethically sourced it is a fantastic and versatile product, the farming of which supports many hardworking families just like ours.

Being hand-made, my soaps may vary in texture, colour and appearance between batches, no two will be exactly the same. I believe this is part of the appeal of using and enjoying handmade soap.

Any individual or company that is selling cold processed soap is required by law to be registered with NICNAS, the government register of chemical introducers. My NICNAS registration number is 12845.
